Thread Standards

• BSP Bulkhead Male – BSPP bulkhead body, long enough to pass through a panel and clamp with a lock nut on each side.
• BSP Parallel Male – BSPP to ISO 228 / BS 2779. Parallel thread with a 60° cone nose: seals into a BSP swivel female seat, or into a port with a bonded washer.

How to Choose

• Size by the thread on each end.
• Allow for the panel thickness: the body has to pass through and still leave thread for the lock nut.
• Order a matching stainless lock nut for each side of the panel.

Technicians Advice

Drill the panel hole to the thread size, not bigger, and use a lock nut on both sides so the fitting cannot spin when the hose is tightened. On a stainless panel or a boat deck, use a stainless lock nut as well. A plated nut against stainless in salt air corrodes quickly and lets the whole fitting work loose.
